The Quiet Journal is a small collection of notes about ordinary places.

The subjects here are deliberately close to hand: a familiar walk, a patch of light, a few words in a notebook. You don't need special equipment or a trip somewhere far away to try them.

The pictures on this site are illustrations. The notes are suggestions rather than reports from a particular place.

There are no accounts, mailing lists or forms here. Just a few pages to read at your own pace.
